Best Ever Chili Burrito for 430 Calories

Hey guys, it’s Adam here. This week I didn’t feel like cooking. So, just to show me what an amazing girlfriend I have, Rebecca felt like cooking us up some food from her favorite cuisine. Mexican! Thanks go to her sister, Nicolette for the amazing food-porn shots she snapped. You have to try this Burrito Recipe  . . .

Calories for the entire recipe are 430 kcal! SIMPLY AMAZING.

Ingredients:

1 wholegrain Tortilla (61g) OR 47g uncooked rice
80g raw turkey breast mince
70g tomato polpa
40g red kidney beans
50g onions, diced
60g bell peppers, diced
Fry light spray
1 tbsp. chili con carne seasoning
40g avocado

 

Method:

Heat up a non-stick pan and spray with fry light spray.

Cook the onions and the bell peppers until they are soft.

Add the minced turkey breast.

Break up the mince with a wooden spoon.

Keep stirring until all the mince is in uniform, mince-sized lumps.

Make sure that there are no uncooked pink bits left in your mince.

The heat should be hot enough for the meat to “fry”.

Add the tomato polpa.

Simmer the mixture well.

Bring the mixture to a boil, give it a stir, and cover the pan with a lid.

Turn the heat down until the mixture is bubbling gently.

Stir occasionally.

Add the beans and the chili con carne seasoning according to taste.

Warm up your tortilla in a pan.

Transfer the chilli onto your burrito and serve with the avocado.

You may enjoy the chili on the side of steamed rice instead of in a burrito.

 

Meal Prep Tip: Cook the chili in bulk. This recipe makes 1 serving of chili. Multiply the ingredients by 3 or even 4. Cook the whole batch, and when the chili is done, divide into equal portions. Also if you’re a male with a large frame of higher energy requirements, you can add tortillas to your liking.
