About us

Rebecca and I met during her last couple of years at university, bang in the midst of my ‘fitness-self-schooling’ frenzy. We started dating back then. Years later, we still are. She got involved in what I was doing; she picked up the slack and got fitter and leaner than ever. She went through what I had gone through, and what I had showed her – only a lot faster. This was our aha-moment! We knew that getting fit and lean, while enjoying life isn’t that hard, even if you’re busy working or studying day and night. If we did it so could everyone. We decided there and then that we would indeed graduate then move on to create our dream.

We teach people how to stay in shape, regardless of their busy lifestyle, if they’re travelling or if life gets in the way. We preach presence in our bodies and minds. Now is the only time you have to act, the past is unchangeable and the future is uncertain. The present moment is always yours. We also preach flexible dieting; there is no room for nutrition myths in our world. Healthy eating is our baseline, but we are self-proclaimed travel foodies, and we need our fix too. Our view of fitness and training is that any movement is better than no movement. Strength training is a must, but this is never limited only to the weight room, also we never sacrifice mobility and stability for strength. This is something we have learnt through coaching thousands of personal training clients face to face as well as on our online fitness programs. This is our vision. This is Camp Fitness.

My name is Adam. I graduated with a Doctor of Laws Degree back in 2015. I felt disappointed. Really dissatisfied. Empty inside. Our society promises great things once you graduate from University, and that could be true for the most part, if you make it that way. But success and enlightenment never show up the way you expect them in life. Clearly, I had something bigger in mind. I had to at least try.

I had been obsessed with fitness, getting lean and losing fat ever since I dropped 32 Kilos, when I was still obese at age 16. This made me value nutrition, movement and health far more than anything else in life. I spent my university years sad; I had lost the weight but I was a nicotine, caffeine and alcohol driven studying machine. I still hadn’t quite learnt what a ‘lifestyle’ entails and consistently struggled to keep the extra weight off. I was conned and scammed by all sorts of products and nonsense along the way too. I always thought to myself; ‘Now, I’ll do all this studying, earn money, then die obese, stressed out in a pile of money and cigarette smoke.’

I learned very quickly, that just hopping from dietary fad to the next, with such an unhealthy and uninteresting lifestyle, wasn’t going to take me far. I quit binge drinking and smoking, got into boxing, lifting weights, running, doing calisthenics. Got myself a solid food scale, nutrition books and was always keeping up with the latest studies to make sure I was up-to-date too. Only then the real changes came in. First the abs.
Then my shortness of breath disappeared.

Then she showed up…
